Good question, Howard and thanks for stopping by TD Helps. We'd be glad to respond.
If you have previously provided a merchant with your TD account number and routing number, you may reach out to your payee directly to determine if you can cancel future payments with them. If you're unable to cancel future payments with your payee directly, you may contact us for further assistance.
As this is pertaining to your specific account, we would need to review this further with you. As we would like to assist you directly, unfortunately, we do not have access to your personal information since this is considered an unsecured forum. Please feel free to call 888-751-9000, 24/7 to speak with one of our Banking Specialists. After account verification they'd be more than happy to review your account with you and assist you with your stop payment request.
Also, you may visit any TD Bank Store, during lobby hours to have your account reviewed and future payments stopped in person. For a listing of TD Bank Stores please see here: http://bit.ly/TDStores. Please note; fees may apply for this service. For more information on the fee schedule, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
If you have previously provided your TD Visa debit card number to this merchant and are unable to cancel future payments directly with them, we recommend contacting us 24/7 at the same telephone number listed above and speak with a Customer Service Representative for possible options.
Just in case that you have initiated a recurring payment by using our Bill Pay service provided via our Online Banking site, please follow the steps below to cancel this payment series:
-Log in to your TD Bank Online Banking account here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq:
-Click on the Bill Pay tab
-Click on the manage your Bills tab
-Select your Biller Name from the drop-down list
-Select the Delete Automatic Payment choice
-A pop-up box will confirm your choice to delete this series of payments
Thanks again for visiting, Howard and have a fabulous day!
