I recently got married in June, but haven't changed my name yet because we are going on our honeymoon in January. I received checks over the summer made out to my "future married last name" -- can I still deposit these into my account? Do I need to bring my marriage license as proof?

Good morning, Amy!
Congratulations to you and your spouse during this exciting time! We'll be more than happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
We completely understand that you may not be able to change your maiden name to your new married name right away, and because of this, a Customer Service Representative at your nearest TD Store location will be more than happy to assist you with your concerns, and they may even be able to successfully credit these checks to your account! Typically speaking, our Store locations are able to accept any checks that may be in your married name with proof of your marriage license; however, we'd like to recommend that you connect with your Store location before your visit to ensure that no other documentation is needed.

We'd also like to recommend that you visit your nearest TD Store location during lobby hours so that a Customer Service Representative can assist and answer any questions or concerns you may have.
As a friendly reminder, our Banking Specialists are always here to assist you with any questions you may have, 24/7, by calling 1-888-751-9000!
Congratulations again, Amy, and we hope you enjoy your upcoming honeymoon with your spouse! Take care.
