Thanks for reaching us on TD Helps, Sarah and congratulations on your nuptials!
To change your name and how it appears on your account, we do require you to visit a TD Store for security purposes. You will need to bring a copy of your marriage certificate or other legal document stating your change in name and a valid photo ID (Driver's license, Passport, State issued photo ID, etc.). Please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores for a list of our Store locations and hours.
We hope this information helps, Sarah and have a wonderful day!

Does the valid photo ID have to have your new name?

Thanks for connecting with us, Beth.
If your photo ID has not been updated to your new married name, we would ask for your marriage certification. However, if your Photo ID has been updated, it is not necessary to provide your marriage certificate.
Should you have any other questions; we invite you to connect with your local TD Store directly for assistance here: http://bit.ly/TDStores. You may also wish to call us at 888-751-9000, available 24/7.
Hope this helps. Have a great day!
