i open my account on 2016 dicember, because i was in a work and travel so they told me to open a td bank account so they can put me the money in there. Before i return to y country i ask in a tdbank if i dont close my acoount you are not going to take me money for anything not ever maintenance. And now when i open my acoount i can see that i dont have any money inside of my acoount. please tell me hoy can i close my account. thanks

We're sorry to hear that your account may have been assessed fees, and we understand your concerns. We'll be more than happy to help answer any questions or concerns you may have, and assist you with closing your account.
At this time, there are a couple different ways in which you may close an account with TD Bank, and the method you use can vary depending on the balance in your account currently. As you mentioned that you no longer have funds in your account, if your balance is zero, you may connect with us over the phone, or even send us a secure message, to make your request.
When looking to connect with one of our Banking Specialist over the phone while outside of the United States, you may simply dial 1-856-751-9000. By calling this number, you'll reach a Specialist toll free, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can also call collect with operator assistance from any landline phone by asking the operator to dial (215)-569-0518.
If you would prefer to send us a secure message with your account closure request, you'll first want to log into your Personal Online Banking by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. Once you've successfully logged in, look for the 'Message Center' on the left hand side and select 'Send a secure message'.
If you have downloaded our mobile banking app for your smartphone, you may also use this method to send a secure message. From your Mobile Banking, log in and select 'Send a Secure Message' from the side Menu. We generally respond within 24 hours or less.
When looking to close your account over the phone, or by secure message, please know that the balance in your account must be zero. In the event that your account currently holds a negative balance, we ask that you bring the account back to a zero dollar balance in whichever method you prefer so that you may then connect with us to have the account closed.
