Thank you for your interest in banking with TD! We'd be happy to point you in the right direction.
You're welcome to open an account in a variety of ways including by phone or online, in addition to visiting a Store!
First, you may like to review the products we offer and find an account that suits your needs. We encourage you to review our Checking Accounts here: http://bit.ly/1oXjGgF, or use our Checking Account Selector at http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU. Our Savings products are listed here: http://bit.ly/1hzzhPT, or use our Savings Selector Tool at http://bit.ly/1sxY9Rd.
If you'd like to open your account online, you may use the "Open Account" button at these links to begin. If you open your account online, you can make your first deposit using a debit card linked to an account from another financial institution or a credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Similarly, you are able to make your initial deposit at any TD Store. To take a look at Store locations and their hours please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you'd prefer to open your account by phone, feel free to give us a call 24/7 at 1-888-751-9000 to speak with one of our dedicated Customer Service Representatives. They will be more than happy to help you establish your account. When opening an account over the phone, you are able to make a transfer from an existing account you have with TD or visit a TD Store to make your initial deposit.
If you don't have the time to visit a TD Store, we understand! You are able to mail your initial deposit to us by using our Bank by Mail service. All you would need to do is mail your deposit to the address below:
TD Bank, N.A. ME2-001-033 P.O. Box Number 1190 Lewiston, Maine 04243
The P.O. Box is checked daily and transactions are posted the same day.
If you need to Fed-EX or UPS a mail in a Deposit to us, you can ship it to the address below:
TD Bank Bank by Mail 140 Mill Street Lewiston ME 04243
Also keep in mind that the TD Bank is not responsible for items lost in mail. Here are some additional tips to consider prior to mailing your deposit:
- Cash should not be sent through the mail
- Payee of the check and name on deposit ticket should be the same
- Checks should be endorsed (and restricted "for deposit only")
- Multiple checks should be listed and a total of the deposit listed
- Enclose the deposit ticket, not the carbon copy
- If using a blank deposit ticket, please write the account number clearly
- Do not staple transactions
As you've mentioned that you're interested in our Cross Border Banking options, we encourage you to take a look here: http://bit.ly/1tSdSbr. If you would like to discuss these options in greater detail, we recommend contacting our 24/7 Cross Border Banking Specialists by dialing 877-700-2913.
We hope this helps and have a great day!
