From your message, it sounds like you may have written a check that hasn't been presented to your account for payment yet. If this is the case, since checks are mailed, we recommend that you follow up with the Payee of the check to determine if they've received it.
Otherwise, if you wrote a paper check and it hasn't been presented to your account, you can place a stop payment on the item. To assist you with this, please give us a call 24/7 to speak with a Customer Service Representative at 888-751-9000. Our Representatives would be happy to assist you in placing the stop payment upon account verification. Please have the check number, Payee, amount of the check and the date written for assistance.
You may also place a stop payment via Online Banking. To request a stop online, you will need to first log in to your online banking account. If you have personal TD accounts and are signed up for our Retail online banking, please click here http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. If you are a TD Bank BusinessDirect user, please direct your browser to http://bit.ly/1rvBmq8. Under the Customer Service tab, please find the Stop Payment link to continue.
Depending on your Checking account type, there may be a fee applied for a stop payment. Please visit: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt to view our current Fee Schedule.
In addition, you may also stop by your nearest TD Bank Store location to request the stop payment request in person. To find out TD Store locations near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
