I currently have a student account and my mom would like to put some money into my account. How can we do this online? She also has a TD bank account. But also, what about if she wanted to use an account that is not TD? Thank you.

Hi Sarah, welcome to TD Helps and thank you for sending us your question
Transferring funds is easier than it has ever been before with our new feature called the "Person-to-Person" transfer, which allows you to send and receive funds via your Online Banking. This feature is free for transfers between TD Bank accounts and it allows you to send money domestically to any account inside and outside TD Bank without having to visit a Store.
To use this feature, you and your Mom must be enrolled in Online Banking. If you or your Mom have not enrolled yet, that can be done for free here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. To enroll, you/Mom will need to provide your Social Security number, TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card number, account number, and e-mail address. If you/Mom do not have a debit or ATM card or need any assistance enrolling please call 800-493-7562 to speak with one of our Digital Banking Specialists available 24/7. Once you both have enrolled for Online Banking, she can select the “Person-to-Person” tab to enroll for this specific feature. For the Terms and Conditions in addition to information on the payment methods and amounts, please check http://bit.ly/1pADlWD.
If you would like, Sarah, you could request money from your Mom by using this same feature via your Online Banking. Again, you must be enrolled, if you are not, please follow the steps provided above. Once you've enrolled and are logged in, under the Person-to-Peron tab please select the "Request Money." She will then receive a text or e-mail notification regarding your request and at that point, your Mom can choose what financial institution or account she would like the funds to be debited from.
Another option is to have her visit any local TD Bank Store and they would be happy to help! Once there, your Mom can withdraw the funds from her account and request to make a deposit into yours. For this option, all she needs to provide is your account number and full name, and the funds will be available to your account immediately. Here is a link for you to view TD Bank location details and hours: http://bit.ly/TDStores .
You may also want to consider having a TD Bank Go Card handy. It’s a safe, easy and convenient way to make purchases wherever visa is accepted.
The TD Go Card is easy to fund. Money may be loaded onto the card by the Account Owner using any Visa or MasterCard, 24 hours a day 7 days a week via the TD Go Card website http://bit.ly/1wibSus. A $1 load fee applies; for a full list of fees, please see the Terms & Conditions http://bit.ly/1eSK0Du or Account Guide http://bit.ly/1zrVD2w. Account Owners and Cardholders may also set up a free direct deposit from your employer(s). The Account Owner may also invite family and friends to load funds to the card. For detailed instructions, visit us online or call 855-219-8050.
Funds can be transferred to a TD Go Card using a debit or credit card. The funds will generally be available the same business day using one of these methods. Funds loaded to the card using direct deposit will generally be available on the business day we receive the transfer.
Sarah we hope all of this information helps and feel free to contact us again with any other questions. Have a fantastic weekend!

Thanks for joining us at TD Helps, Tony.
As mentioned above, it is very easy to transfer funds with our new feature "Person-to-Person" via your Online Banking. Even if the person who is initiating the transfer is a non TD bank customer, you may still request the funds from this person through this feature. If you have not enrolled for Online Banking yet, here are the steps again: Click on: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY , you will need to provide your Social Security number, your TD bank ATM/Visa Debit Card number, your account number, and your e-mail address. If you do not have a debit or ATM card or need assistance, please call us 24/7 at 800-493-7562. Once enrolled, click on the Person-to-Person tab and select the "Request Money" option. The person who you are requesting the funds from will then receive a text message or e-mail notification regarding your request. This person can then choose what financial institution or account to debit the funds from. For the Terms and Conditions in addition to information on the payment methods and amounts, please check http://bit.ly/1pADlWD.
Another option is for this person to send you a wire transfer, in which case you will need to provide them with the following information depending on whether or not the transfer is domestic or international.
For funds being sent in US Dollars you will need:
Wire to: TD Bank, N.A. Wilmington, Delaware
Your full name as it appears on your account statement
Your account number
If the funds are being sent in Foreign Currency, you will also need to include the additional information as follows:
Correspondent Bank SWIFT Code: TDOMCATTTOR
Correspondent Bank: The Toronto Dominion Bank, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M5k 1A2
Beneficiary Bank SWIFT Code: NRTHUS33XXX
Beneficiary Bank address: including TD Bank, Store Address: Street, City, State, and Country (If unsure, you may use: TD Bank, N.A. 6000 Atrium Way, Mt Laurel, NJ 08054).
In Favor of Beneficiary Account Number
In Favor of Beneficiary's Full Name and Full Address as it appears on your TD Bank account statement
You should expect to receive the payment within three to five business days. We will post all incoming wires the banking day they are received. International wire transfers sent by US Dollars can be received until 6:30pm or if the incoming wire is in Foreign Currency it can be received until 3:30pm on the current banking day. We do not process incoming Pay Upon Proper Identification (PUPID) wires and we return them to the sender. Please keep in mind that fees may apply, for more information on the fees please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
Another option if the person making the transfer is able to, he/she can visit a TD Bank store and request to make a cash deposit into your account. All they will need to provide is your full name and account number, the funds will then be available immediately. Check out http://bit.ly/TDStores to find Store hours and locations. Finally, the person making the transfer may also contact their financial institution since they may offer other options to make transfers.
Thanks again for visiting us with your question, Tony. Have a great day!
