Thanks for your question, Pam. We'd be glad to help.
When using your TD Bank Visa Debit Card for purchases, please note that daily limits do apply. We invite you to take a look here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ. On pages 44-45, you'll be able to find more information about the types of transactions you'll be able to use your card for, as well as the limits which apply per day.
Just in case you are expecting to spend more than what is permitted by your daily limit, we can offer a couple of options to request an increase. Please note, in order to have your Debit Card limit increased you must have a deposit account older than 90 days that is in Normal status and have a sufficient balance to cover the requested amount.
To increase one of the limits on your Visa Debit Card, you can send us a written request via fax or secure message. You can send the fax to our Fulfillment Team at 856-533-1138, or please log in to your TD Bank online account at http://bit.ly/1eaISlq and use the Send a Message link after clicking the Customer Service tab. With either method, please include the following information:
• Subject: Limit Increase
• Account Number
• Debit/ATM Card Number
• Your Name
• Contact Telephone Number
• A Statement indicating to 'Please increase my total daily Visa (or POS or ATM) limit to $X for the day'
• Your Signature (for the fax option only) Please note: fax requests are generally completed within 2 hours.
Please keep in mind that limit increases are only valid for one calendar day and the limits will return to the original amount after this time passes. If your request is received after 6:00 pm, the increase will remain in effect for one additional calendar day.
Lastly, you may also stop by your local TD Bank Store during lobby hours for assistance. To take a look at TD Stores near you please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this helps, Pam and have a good day.
