Great question, Pujabahen! We'll be happy to provide you with information on transfer options available.
TD Bank offers a few ways to transfer money such as wire, Person-to-Person or External Transfers. Since we're not certain of the transfer option you're inquiring about, we'll be glad to go over each option.
With wire transfers, you can send funds to any bank within the country and across the globe! If you are making a transfer within the US, you will need to gather the name, address and ABA routing number of the receiving bank, the name of the account to be credited, the beneficiary address and the account number.
Sending an international wire is a little different than sending one within the US. To send an international wire all you need is: · The full name, address, including city, state/province, country and account number of the person/business (for Euro Zone countries – IBAN – International Banking Account Number) you are sending money to · The full name and address, including city, state/province and country of the financial institution receiving the funds · The amount and currency of the transfer
Please keep in mind also that depending on the currency you are sending, some transactions may take longer than others. To send a wire from your TD account, this will need to be completed at a TD location. For a listing of our locations and hours please view: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Additionally, Person-to-Person transfers are used to send funds from your TD account to someone else's account at another Financial Institution whereas External Transfers are used to send funds from your TD account to an account with your name on it at another Financial Institution. Both of these services are available online at www.tdbank.com.
If you're not enrolled for Online Banking yet and would like to get set up, as long as you have an ATM/Debit Card, you may fill out the online application here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. In addition to your ATM/Debit Card number, you will also need your account number and email address. If you have any trouble with the enrollment please give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or visit a nearby TD location.
Once you're enrolled and logged in to your Online Banking you will have the option of sending a Person-to-Person Payment or External Transfer. You have two delivery options when sending these types of payments, there is the three business day and next business day delivery options. Please note, the next day delivery option is not available for Savings accounts. To qualify for the next day delivery option, you must wait 90 days from your first successful 3-day transfer and must not have had any transactions that overdrew your account in the past 90 days.
If using the Person-to-Person option, you may click on the tab at the top of the page titled "Person-to-Person Payments." You will then be asked to accept a user agreement, review the fee schedule and confirm your email and phone number. A text and email code will be sent to the mobile number and email address we have on file for you. Next we will request you to submit both codes for verification to complete the enrollment process. Once the enrollment is complete you’ll be ready to send the payment! If you're looking to transfer funds using the External Transfer option, you can do so by using the "Transfers" tab. After selecting the "Transfers" tab you will then have to click "Transfer to Accounts Outside TD Bank." You would have to add your account at a different institution. To do so, select "Add a New Account." You will then be prompted to select the type of account followed by the account and routing numbers. Once you enter the required fields, the transfer service will then display whether or not you can make an immediate transfer. In some cases, a trial deposit is initiated at the receiving institution for verification purposes.
Please note that External Transfers and Person-to-Person Payments can only be conducted to or from a U.S. account in U.S. currency only. They can only be made from an Eligible Transaction Account: for example, personal Checking, Money Market or Savings accounts are usually allowed, with you as a signer on the account. For the Terms and Conditions in addition to information on the payment methods and amounts, please check http://bit.ly/1pADlWD.
If you have any difficulties, please contact Tech Support for assistance 24/7 at 800-493-7562. We recommend checking with the other financial institution to ensure no other additional information is required. Also, please take a look here, http://bit.ly/1cTejgt for fees that may apply.
Thanks for submitting your question and hope you have a great evening.
