Welcome to TD Helps, George and thank you for joining us!
One way to transfer funds from your account with another Financial Institution to your TD Account is by using the External Transfer feature via your TD Online Banking. If you are not currently enrolled in Online Banking, you may do so here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. Keep in mind that in order to enroll in this service you will need your account number, ATM/Visa Debit Card number, your Social Security number and email address. If you experience any difficulties enrolling, please contact us at 800-493-7562. Our Digital Banking Specialists are available 24/7 and after account verification, they would be happy to assist with the enrollment process.
Once enrolled and after you log in here, please select the "Transfers" tab to access the "Transfer to Accounts Outside TD Bank." You will need to add the other account with another Financial Institution as a contact first, you may do so by selecting "Add a New Account." You will need your account and routing number to add it to your Online Banking profile. Please note, TD Bank will test your other account with two small deposits, which could take up to three business days. Once you receive the credits in that account, please log into your TD Online Banking, select the "Transfers" tab than click on the "Accounts & Help" hyperlink and click on "Accounts". Listed under "Other Accounts" please select "Activate" to enter the credit amounts. You may be able to by-pass the trial deposits depending on the other financial. If this is an option for you, all you would have to do is enter your login credentials (for the other financial institution) during the account verification process.
After you have activated the other account, you will then be able to select your external account to transfer funds to your TD account free of charge. Please note, 3 day external transfers are free of charge.
If you have any additional questions, please contact is at the number listed above.
Thank you again for joining us today, George and have a good day.
