Thanks for your question, Philippa. We'd be glad to help you open a business account.
You are able to view the different types of Business accounts that we offer online; however, at this time you will have to visit a TD Store in person to open an account.
Take a look here: http://bit.ly/1lWgAhe to view the different types of Business accounts we offer. As a feature on our webpage, TD Bank can also help by recommending an account for your needs with the Business Checking Selector Tool found here: http://bit.ly/1lGeYmw. If you have any questions while reviewing these options, a Business Banking Specialist would be happy to assist you over the telephone. You can reach them by dialing 855-278-8988. Alternatively, as you are writing in from outside the U.S., you are able to call us by dialing 856-751-9000 or 215-569-0518 collect from a landline telephone and operator assistance. Our Representatives will be glad to connect you.
Once you've found the account you'd like to open, it will be required for you and all signers to visit a TD location to complete the opening process. You will need to bring the following with you: a valid photo ID (Driver's License, Passport, Military ID, etc.) and your Social Security Number. For a non-resident opening a business account, you will need two valid forms of ID and a W-8Ben must be completed during the account opening process. Take a look below for acceptable forms of ID:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature
- State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature
- Foreign Driver's License with Photo
- US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date
- College ID with Photo
- Alien Registration Card with Photo
- Permanent Resident Card with Photo
Be sure to bring the Tax Identification Number for your business. Please know that your business must be registered in the U.S.

Depending on the type of business you have, additional documents may be required at the time of account opening and we encourage you to call you preferred Store before visiting to ensure that you'll have everything needed.
We hope this helps and have a good day.
