My contact assured me that his other clients had no problem using Zelle to send them money, even though his is a business account.

Good morning, Brent.
This is a great question, and we'll be more than happy to help.
Before we begin, we'd first like to apologize for any confusion; however, please understand that the Send Money feature is a Person to Person transfer service, and because of this, you will unfortunately be unable to send funds directly to a business. However, you're more than welcome to use the Send Money feature to send funds directly to a signer or owner of this business.
Should you wish to perform a Send Money transfer to your contact directly, we'll be happy to help.
The first thing you'll want to do is log into your Online Banking, which you can do from here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. Once you're able to access your Online Banking, towards the top of your screen, you should see a tab that read 'Send Money'. If you have never used this service before, you may need to accept some terms and agreements, and after doing so, you will be brought directly to the Send Money feature.
Next, you'll need either enter in your contact's personal email address, phone number, or their personal account number. Should you wish to send the funds directly to their account, please know that you would need the routing number for their account as well. If you would rather send the funds to their email address, or via a text message, after you complete the transfer via your Online Banking, they will receive instructions on how they may proceed to have the funds transferred directly to their account.
If you haven't yet added this contact to your 'Contacts', you can do so by clicking on the 'Add New Contact' towards the right side of your screen. Simply enter in their first and last name, and then select if you would like to send the funds to their phone, email address, or her account number. After doing so, you will be prompted to enter in their information for whichever method you choose.
After saving this information, you will then be brought to the screen where you are able to select the amount you wish to send, and the delivery speed. Currently, for Instant Transfers, you need a TD Bank Visa Debit Card; however, you do not need a TD Bank Visa Debit Card for 3-day Transfers. Regardless of the delivery speed you choose, this service is still free.
After selecting the amount and the delivery speed of your transfer, simply confirm the account you wish to have this transfer be debited from, and then click 'Review'. This will bring you to a final screen, and after ensuring that all the information provided is correct, you will be able to send the transfer to your contact.
In the event that you run into any trouble, or if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact a Tech Support Specialist directly at 800-493-7562. Specialists are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for your convenience, and will be more than happy to help. Additionally, you're also welcome to visit a TD Store location, during lobby hours, for assistance. To take a look at Store locations and their hours, please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
We hope this clears up any confusion, Brent. Have a great rest of your day.
