Thanks for bringing your IRA questions, we appreciate you asking.

If you'd like to use funds in your existing savings to contribute to an IRA, we recommend discussing this in detail with us at one of our Stores, as we'd need to know more about the source of the funds, and maximum annual contribution amounts would apply. We apologize as it would not be possible to add the IRA option to an existing account, but a new account could be established. We recommend checking in with a Representative at one of our Stores local to you – feel free to find our current listing here: http://bit.ly/TDStores. We'd also be happy to schedule an appointment for you; to do so, please just give us a call anytime, 24/7 at 888-751-9000 and we can set this up at a convenient time for you.
Depending on the amount of funds in your current savings and what you'd like to contribute to your IRA, you may also like to have a conversation with your tax advisor to ensure you're taking advantage of your best options. You're also welcome to get in touch with our dedicated IRA Department, who are available for you at 800-231-8193, Option 4. You can reach them from Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday 9:00 am to 1:30 pm.
