Thanks for coming to TD Helps, Rodnesha. We appreciate your consideration in banking with TD Bank and would be happy to help!
Before we go into how to open an account online, we recommend reviewing the different types of Checking and Savings account TD Bank offers. To view our Checking accounts, take a look here: http://bit.ly/1aDaRqd and here: http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for a personalized recommendation. For our Savings account, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9 and for a personalized recommendation, please visit: http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM.
Once you are ready, you can open the account right online by selecting the "Open Account" box located beneath each specific account listed. You can also contact us directly at 888-751-9000. We are available 24/7 and would be more than happy to help!
If you prefer, you can also visit your local TD Store for additional assistance. You can locate us by taking a look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Please be sure to have the following documents handy when opening the account: Your Social Security number and ID (driver's license, State ID, or Passport).
If you are looking to open a TD Business account, we'd be happy to go over the details you may need. With our TD Business accounts, there is a minimum deposit required and it varies depending on the type of account you chose. To review the Business Checking options we offer, please visit: http://bit.ly/1uCacgJ, or feel free to use our Business Checking Selector tool: http://bit.ly/1lGeYmw to make sure you have the best product for you. Please also see: http://bit.ly/1HRuOua for our TD Business Savings account. If you click on the "View Account Guide for details," it will provide information on what the minimum deposit is needed for each specific account.
If you need assistance while reviewing these options, a Business Banking Specialist would be a happy to help via telephone at 855-278-8988. You may also request a call from a Small Business Banking Specialist; please click here: http://bit.ly/K9iZ78 to fill in our form and we'll call you within 24 business hours.
Once you are ready to open your Business account, please visit your local TD Store, during lobby hours. If it's easier, you can make an appointment prior to your visit by calling us at 888-751-9000. When visiting a Store, you'll need the following documents to open the account: a valid photo ID (Driver's License, Passport, Military ID, etc.) and your Social Security number. If your business account is going to have multiple signers, be sure to bring them with you for the account opening process with the same forms of ID. If any of the signers are non-residents of the US, they would need two valid forms of ID and a W-8BEN form. You will also need to bring the Tax Identification number for the business, legal name, and physical address.
To open an LLC, additional documents will be needed. One of the documents listed above is required for account opening but you can bring more than one if you desire: The documents used to form and register your business, the fictitious name registration or the Operating Agreement. Additionally, you will also need to bring documentation of your LLC Resolution.
Also, be sure to bring the Tax Identification Number for your business.
Please note that depending on the type of business you have, there may be additional documents you will need to bring with you. We'd recommend that you discuss this prior to stopping in at a Store, either by speaking with one of our Business Specialists as mentioned above or by contacting your preferred location. The telephone numbers for our Stores are listed at our Location Finder as posted above.
We hope this helps and hope to see you soon! Have a great weekend!
