Thank you for joining us on TD Helps, Karen! Congratulations on getting married!
If the check is only issued to you and you have a TD Bank deposit account (such as Checking, Savings, Money Market account), it can be cashed at any TD Bank location with your valid photo ID as long as you have sufficient funds in your account(s) to cover the amount of the check. To find out TD Store locations near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores. If you have not yet updated the name on your account to your married name, you'll need to bring your updated Driver's License or Marriage License to the Store with you to complete this change.
If you are not currently a TD Bank customer and would like to cash a check drawn on TD Bank, you may still do so. Please note, your primary identification, such as your Driver's License, State ID or Passport must already but updated with your new name in order to negotiate the checks. There is a fee of $7.00 per check for this check cashing service. Please note that this fee is subject to change at any time. For more information on the fee schedule, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt. However, if you wish to open an account with us, this fee will be waived. Please note, at this time, non-TD Customers may not cash non-TD Bank checks.
In case you have additional questions, please feel free to give us a call at 888-751-9000 to speak with a Customer Service Representative. Our Representatives are available 24/7 and are ready to help answer any questions for you!
We hope this helps, Karen and have a great weekend!
