Hi Nirea! That's an easy fix and we'd be happy to help.
We're glad to hear that you've opened the TD Student Checking account you'd intended to open in the first place and we'd be happy to close out the TD Convenience Checking for you.
As TD Helps is considered an unsecure forum, we do not have access to specific account information to close it directly, but we can provide you with some options to get in touch with us so that we can. Please give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or stop in to see us at a local TD Bank Store. To find one near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
If you've enrolled in online banking, you can also send us your request by secure message through your online or mobile banking. To send a secure message, log into your TD Bank online profile by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. Once you've successfully logged in, look for the 'Message Center' on the left hand side and select 'Send a secure message'. From your Mobile Banking, log in and select 'Send a Secure Message' from the side Menu. We can generally respond within 24 hours or less.
If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us here or use one of the methods above.
Thanks for choosing TD Bank, Nirea! We hope you have a great day!
