Hi Kyle, thanks for letting us help you today. We'd hate to see you go, but understand if you need to close your account and we can provide some options for you.
If you're listed as a joint Owner of your current account, please note that any one owner of an account is able to close it. If you are, you're able to visit any nearby TD Bank Store to withdraw the remaining funds and put in your request to close the account.
If the Savings account was opened with you as a minor and you're listed as the Beneficiary of the account, the account will need to be closed by the Custodian of the account. In this case, it would be necessary for your father to visit a local Store for the account closing process. Please see a listing of our Stores nearby you at http://bit.ly/TDStores. He's also welcome to contact us anytime 24/7 at 888-751-9000. As you've mentioned that he has another account, he may be able to close the account via phone by transferring the funds over.
We hope this is helpful, Kyle and let us know of other questions you have. Have a great evening.
