In reply to Jonathan, Capemaycourthouse,
We're sorry to hear that you'd like to close your account, Jonathan and we'll be sure to help.
First of all, we'd like to take this opportunity to share with you that we are committed to being available when you need us. If you have moved to a country outside the United States, we do have some options for you to do all of your banking without the need to visit a TD Bank Store.
With our Online Banking, your accounts are easier to manage than ever! Whether you're checking your account balance or reviewing your account history and statements, our powerful suite of online banking services has you covered. If you are enrolled for Online Banking, you may log in by visiting http://bit.ly/1eaISlq.
If you are not currently enrolled, you can sign up by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY, if you have your TD Bank Visa Debit Card or ATM number, and a Social Security Number. If not, you're more than welcome to contact a Banking Specialist directly for assistance with enrollment.
Once you're enrolled, you're welcome to use this service to help you keep track of your account, and you can even communicate with us whenever you'd like using our Secure Messaging service available once you log in.
In the meantime, please contact us by dialing 888-751-9000. We're available 24/7 for your assistance!
If you still wish to close your TD Bank account, we respect your decision and can share some instructions with you.
If your account is currently at a zero balance, you may contact us directly at the numbers provided above. After account verification, our Banking Specialists would be more than happy to help. You can also send a Secure Message after logging in to your TD Bank online account as previously mentioned. Please find the Customer Service tab and use the Send a Message link to submit your request.
If your account has a remaining balance or is currently overdrawn, we ask that you contact us directly for help. You are able to call the 24/7 number mentioned above or contact a TD Store. For TD Stores and their telephone numbers, please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this helps and have a good day.
