I have a TD issued personal money order that is out dated 2/28/2011. How do I go about accessing these funds.

Thanks for your question, Sara. We'd be glad to help.
Checks that are more than 6 months old are considered "stale dated," but are still eligible for negotiation by the Bank. Some checks have an expiration date (payroll checks, government checks, etc.), which limits or extends the time period when the checks can be cashed or deposited.
Please take note that stale-dated checks drawn on TD Bank may still be cashed after we verify the status of the account and check for a stop payment order. To determine if your money order is able to be cashed, we recommend reaching out to a TD Store near you. To take a look at TD Stores and their hours please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope to hear from you soon, Sara and have a good day.
