Good morning, Shannon!
You have a couple different ways in which you may make a principal payment to your mortgage, and we'll be more than happy to provide you with all your different options so that you may choose the one that is most convenient for you.
First, you'll have the option of visiting a TD Store location, during lobby hours, to make your payment directly with one of our knowledgeable Tellers. If you'd like, you're welcome to use the link here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR to find your nearest TD Store location, as well as their lobby hours and contact information. During your visit, it's important to inform the Teller or Representative assisting you with your payment that you'd like the payment to be credited towards your principal balance.
If you're unable to visit a TD Store location, don't worry, as you're also welcome to connect with us directly over the phone, or you may even make your payment online.
When looking to make a payment online, you may either perform a transfer directly from your Personal Online Banking, or you may also use TD Bank's Online Loan Payment Center, which you can find by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1p7K5PC. To make a payment over the phone, our Financial Solutions Group Specialists can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by simply dialing 1-800-937-5020.
When making a principal payment online or over the phone, you will not need to inform a Specialist that you'd like the payment applied to your principal balance. Here at TD Bank, when a payment is made that differs in the amount from your normal monthly payments, TD Bank will automatically assume that you'd like this payment applied to your principal, and will typically do so after 3 business days.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to connect with us at any of the methods mentioned above, Shannon. We're always happy to help.
We hope you have a great holiday, and a happy new year!
