Great to hear of your interest in growing your business with us, Michelle! We'll be happy to discuss this in more detail with you.
Since you mentioned that you have a business that is registered in Utah, we invite you to speak with a Representative at a TD Bank Store. Kindly note that various documents are needed for business account opening, depending on the type of business you have. As Utah is not within the TD Bank footprint and some of the required documents are usually State issued, the TD Store manager will need to determine for you if the account can be opened. We strongly encourage you to contact us by phone prior to visiting, and we can also provide a list of the documents you'll need during your call. Please find a listing of our Stores here: http://bit.ly/TDStores and note that we are located along the East coast of the U.S. from Maine to Florida. Also, kindly note that business accounts must be opened in person at one of our locations.
As a resident alien, you would still be eligible to open a business account with us if the business account-opening requirements themselves are met as above. Once you plan to visit a Store, in addition to any business documentation needed we also recommend that you bring your business Tax Identification number. Typically, a valid photo I.D. for yourself such as a Driver's License, Passport, or Military ID and your Social Security number would also be needed. For a non-U.S. resident opening a business account, you will need two valid forms of ID instead and a W-8 Ben must be completed during the account opening process. Also, if your business account is going to have multiple signers, be sure to bring them with you for the account opening process with the same forms of identification mentioned.
