Hi, I have several questions regarding to secured credit cards. I have recently opened a secured credit card which is linked to my savings account. When I have to pay my credit card bill, do I have to pay from my checking account? Since, I have deposited the minimum amount to my savings account which is $500, can I spend more than this amount using my secured credit card? Also, after 8 months, will my secured credit card become a regular credit card, and can withdraw or use that $500 after that?

You've asked great questions, Ikram!
We're happy to hear that you've opened a Secure Credit Card with TD Bank, and we'll gladly provide you with all the options you have when wanting to make a payment on your card! The first and easiest way to make a payment is to give us a call, 24/7, at 1-888-561-8861, and one of our TD Card Services Specialists will be more than happy to help. You may also make a payment at any TD Bank during lobby hours. To take a look at Store locations and their hours please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
Another option you have is to make a payment online through TD Card Services. Please click the link here: http://bit.ly/28LTtn1 to take you directly to the log in screen. If you have not enrolled your account, please click here http://bit.ly/28IBsq6 to take you directly to the enrollment page.
We ask that you please have your card number handy as you go through the three steps of registration, and once you've successfully enrolled your card, you may make payments right from the comfort of your own home! Please note that you will need a Checking account number, as well as a Routing Number, for a payment to be successfully submitted through our website.
When wanting to convert your secure credit card to an unsecure credit card, please note that after a period of time, your secured card account will automatically be reviewed. Your eligibility for an unsecured card will be taken into consideration, and when possible, the account converted to an unsecured card. Should this occur, and you have been approved, you would then be able to access the funds in your collateral account.
You would also have the ability, after the first initial 7 months of your secure card having been opened, to apply for an unsecure credit card on your own. Should you wish to apply, you may do so by visiting the link here: https://go.td.com/1XHj0Dq, and after reviewing all the cards we offer, click on the orange 'Apply Now' button to start your application. As always, you're also welcome to visit a TD Store location, or call the number listed above to speak with a Credit Card Specialist.
It's important to note that, at this time, TD Bank will be unable to approve any transactions which exceed the limit you currently have held towards your secure credit card, in this case, $500.00.
We hope this answered all your questions, Ikram. Please don't hesitate to let us know if we can answer further questions for you! Have a great day.
