Hey Simone, thanks for dropping by TD Helps!
We are sorry to hear about your situation but great to know you are getting back on your feet. We appreciate your concern and would be happy to help provide some guidance.
There are several options we can offer you to help pay off the overdrawn balance. We recommend contacting our Recovery Department at 800-742-2651 to make payment arrangements, or visit your local TD Bank Store, prior to opening a new account. Closed accounts cannot be re-opened regardless of the reasons for closing it; and business accounts can only be opened at the Store.
Once the overdrawn balance has been paid off, you would then be able to request to open a new account with TD Bank. For information on the current checking accounts TD Bank offers, please follow this link: http://bit.ly/UR7yr0. For a customized recommendation with our Checking Selector answer the questions provided here: http://bit.ly/KmmHe7.
We hope this helps, Simone, and we wish you the best of luck. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
