In reply to Heather, Hamilton
It's great to hear from you this morning, Heather.
This is an excellent question, and we'll be more than happy to help!
Here at TD Bank, we offer an external transfer feature which allows you to transfer funds from your TD Bank account to an account you may have with another financial institution. This feature is offered through your Personal Online Banking, and we'll gladly provide you with the steps for your first time!
First, you'll want to log into your Online Banking by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. If you haven't yet enrolled, don't worry, as you may do so by simply clicking this link: https://go.td.com/1lU2qfY. To fully enroll, you will need your account number, debit card number, your Social Security Number, and a valid email address.
Once you've successfully logged in, towards the top of your screen, you should see the 'Transfers' tab. After clicking on this tab, towards the left hand side of your screen, under 'Help & Related Tasks', find the hyperlink that reads 'Transfer to or from your external accounts'. After clicking on this link, you will be brought directly to our External Transfer feature.
Next, you'll need to add your external account, which can be completed by clicking on the blue 'Add a New Account' hyperlink. First, select the account type, and after doing so, you may proceed to add a nickname for this account, if you'd like, followed by the routing and account number. After entering in all your account information, select 'Next'.
Your external account will be saved, and you may then proceed to enter in the amount of your transfer, followed by the account you would like your transfer to be debited 'from', and then 'to'. Next, enter in the date you would like to have your transfer occur, and if you'd like, you may also add a memo. Finally, select continue, and after confirming the information you have entered, you'll be all set!
It's important to note that a fee may be assessed for an external transfer, and you're welcome to check out our Fee Schedule here: https://go.td.com/2lbbfGg for more information.
In addition to performing an external transfer using your online banking, as you mentioned, you would also have the option of visiting your nearest TD Store location to perform a wire transfer. Our Customer Service Representatives are always happy to help during lobby hours, and you're welcome to use the link here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR to find your nearest Store location, as well as their lobby hours and contact information.
We sincerely hope this helps, Heather, and please let us know if you have any additional questions.
We hope you have an amazing weekend!
