Good evening Lucy,
Thanks so much for choosing TD! We appreciate your interest in a new account with us.
If you'd like to open an account online with us, you would be more than welcome to do so. Please review the Checking accounts we offer right here: http://bit.ly/1oXjGgF, or, if you need any help deciding which one is the best for you, we invite you to use our helpful checking account selector found here: http://bit.ly/KmmHe7. These links can be used to get your account started online – just use any of the Open Account buttons to do so. Please note that you can order a debit card online during the process as well, just be sure to select this option when it is presented. If not, you can always visit us at any TD Store afterward to pick one up on the spot!
If you'd prefer to speak with a Banking Specialist, you could also open the account over the phone also; just reach out to us anytime at 888-751-9000. Banking Specialists are available 24/7 to help guide you through an account opening and answer any questions that you have along the way.
We want to let you know that you always have the option to stop by for assistance. Please take a look here if you can make it in to sit down with a Banking Specialist and open your new account in person: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
No matter how you'd like to open your new account(s), there are two forms of identification that we will need to process your information. If you are a U.S. citizen, we'll need your Social Security Number and a form of photo identification (Driver's License, Passport, state-issued ID, etc.). If you're a non-U.S. citizen, then we'll need your Passport and another secondary form of ID. Kindly note that if you're not a U.S. citizen at this time, we do ask that you stop in at any of our Stores to complete the account-opening process.
We hope this answers your question, Lucy!
Thanks again for banking with us and have a wonderful evening.
