I am the co-trustee/beneficiary of a family trust. We have just changed trustees. The new trustee and myself live in Canada. The trust needs to remain US based, probably Connecticut based. I would like (along with the trustee) to set up a trustee checking account. How can we set up this new account online or at a branch up here in Ottawa, Ontario?

Welcome to TD Helps, Timothy. We appreciate you coming by with your question and would be happy to help.
Please know that although we operate under the same umbrella, TD Canada Trust and TD Bank N.A. are separate institutions and to set up a Trust Account with TD Bank here in the U.S., we do ask that you visit any one of our TD Stores in the U.S. Please note, all signers on the account must be present at the time of the account opening process.
We recommend reviewing the terms of these accounts, and any documentation that may be necessary in order to open it, with a banker at a TD Store location prior to your visit. Please see http://bit.ly/TDStores to find your local Store and their lobby hours, or feel free to contact a Customer Service Representative 24/7 at 1-888-751-9000. If you would like, one of our Specialists can establish an appointment at your preferred TD Bank Store for you during your call.
We hope this helps and please let us know if you have any other questions.
