Thanks for considering TD for a U.S. account, Heather! It'll be our pleasure to tell you more about the products and convenience services we have for our Cross-Border Customers.
Since we notice that you're writing to us from Maple Ridge, if you're a Canadian resident you'll be happy to learn that you're eligible to open a TD Bank U.S. deposit account of your choosing. We invite you to view all of our account options so that you can find an account which best fits your needs. Our Checking Account options are listed here: http://bit.ly/1oXjGgF, or use our Checking Account Selector at http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU. And our Savings products are listed here: http://bit.ly/1hzzhPT, or use our Savings Selector Tool at http://bit.ly/1sxY9Rd.
Once you find an account that suits you and your banking needs, you're welcome to call our Cross Border Banking Team at 877-700-2913, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for assistance in opening the account by phone.
You also have the option to open your account online. Please click here: http://bit.ly/1ishIab to begin an application for an account with TD Bank in the U.S.
To deposit funds, you're welcome to mail in a deposit, or visit any TD Bank U.S. Store if you'll be in our area. A deposit can be mailed to:
TD Bank, N.A., ME2-001-033, P.O. Box Number 1190, Lewiston, ME 04243
Or, if you'd like to send the deposit via FedEx or UPS, please use this address:
TD Bank, N.A. Bank by Mail, 140 Mill Street, Lewiston, ME 04243
Checks should be endorsed (and restricted for deposit only), and cash should not be sent through the mail. Please include your account number separately or on the back of the check for efficient service.
And please find a listing of our Stores here:http://bit.ly/TDStores. Otherwise, if you open an account by phone and you have an existing account with TD Canada Trust, you're more than welcome to initiate a free Wire Transfer from your existing TD Canada Trust account to your new TD Bank US account as your initial deposit.
We'd also like to tell you a little more about being a Customer of both TD Bank U.S. and TD Canada Trust! If you decide to do so, you'll be able to take advantage of our convenient Cross Border Banking options. For more information, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1ienPN4.
As an example, when using this service you'll be able to transfer funds between your TD Bank U.S. and TD Canada Trust personal accounts free of charge. If you wish to, please feel free to speak with a Representative from our TD Cross Border Banking Support Line 24/7 at the number mentioned earlier, who can also answer any questions you have about these services.
Thanks again for choosing TD, Heather! We hope this gets you started and we look forward to talking with you more soon.
