Thanks for joining us here at TD Helps, Robert.
Based on your inquiry, it sounds like you are looking to join our TD Family and use a check with another Institution for your initial deposit. If so, we'd be happy to help!
Before we begin, prior to opening your new TD Account, we invite you to review the different types of accounts TD Bank has to offer. To view and compare our checking accounts, visit http://bit.ly/1aDaRqd or check out our Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help selecting a checking account that is the best fit you. To view and compare savings account products, click on http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9 , or if you prefer, we also have a Savings Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM which can help you choose the best savings account for your needs.
Once you've decided on which account is best for you, you can open the account via the internet by clicking on the "Open Account" box which will be listed at the bottom of each account details. To get started, you'll need the following: Your Social Security number, One of the following: Driver's license, State ID, or Passport.
When opening your account online, you have the option of setting your initial deposit by inputting the debit card linked to an account from another Financial Institution, an account number and routing number you currently have with another Financial Institution or a credit card (Visa or MasterCard). This is will be available to you during step 4 of the application.
If you run into any problems during the process or if you prefer, you could also give us a call at 888-751-9000 to speak with a Customer Service Representative. Our Representatives are available 24/7 and are ready to help answer any questions and open that account for you!
Additionally, you have the option of visiting us at your local TD Store to open an account. For hours and locations near you, take a look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores .
Please note, whichever option you chose to open your account, you may visit us at any TD Store to make a deposit with a check from another Financial Institution.
We hope this helps and please do not hesitate to let us know should you have any other questions.
