Thank you for visiting TD Helps today, Mary. We will be glad to answer your question about transfers.
First, you can have funds wire transferred into your TD Bank Checking, Money Market or Statement Savings account. Just in case you may also need wire instruction so you can provide to the sender, we have gotten you covered:
If the funds are being sent in U.S. Dollars (including domestic or international wires), please provide the following information to the sender; Wire to: TD Bank, N.A. Wilmington, Delaware. ABA: 0311-0126-6. Your complete name as it appears on your account, along with your account number.
For Foreign Currency wire transfers being sent to TD Bank, you'll need to provide the instructions as follows: Correspondent Bank SWIFT Code: TDOMCATTTOR. Correspondent Bank: The Toronto Dominion Bank, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M5k 1A2. Beneficiary Bank SWIFT Code: NRTHUS33XXX. Beneficiary Bank: TD Bank, N.A. 6000 Atrium Way, Mt Laurel, NJ 08054.
We will post all incoming wires the banking day they are received. International wire transfers sent by US Dollars can be received until 6:30pm or if the incoming wire is Foreign Currency it can be received until 3:30pm on the current banking day.
Please also keep in mind also that depending on the currency you are receiving, some transactions may take longer than others. And please note that we do not process or disburse funds from wire transfers received designated Pay Upon Proper Identification (PUPID) and return them to the sender. Depending on the account type you currently have, there may be a fee for receiving wire transfers. Please see the following link for all applicable fees included in our fee schedule: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
If the outside bank is also within the United States, we'd like to share some other transfer options with you.
If you are a signer on that outside bank account, you may consider our External Transfers service which is used if you're sending money between your personal account with TD Bank and your account at another Financial Institution within US. This option is available via Online Banking.
In order to be eligible to use this service, you must have a United States address, a unique United States phone number, a United States issued Social Security number and a valid unique email address. You must also be enrolled for Online Banking and be using a TD Bank Checking, Savings or Money Market account for the transfer.
Assuming you are already enrolled for Online Banking, please check here http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. After logging onto your account, please choose the "Transfers" tab. Then click on "Transfer to Accounts Outside TD Bank." You will then be asked to accept a user agreement and review the fee schedule.
Once the enrollment is completed, you may continue to schedule a transfer by adding your account at a different institution. To do so, select "Add a New Account." You will then be prompted to select the type of account followed by the account and routing numbers. Once you enter the required fields, the transfer service will then display whether or not you can make an immediate transfer. In some cases, a trial deposit is initiated at the receiving institution for verification purposes. You’re welcome to check out http://bit.ly/1jXKYqq for all of the exciting details. For the Transfers Terms and Conditions please see: http://bit.ly/1pADlWD.
If you are not a signer on the outside bank account, you may consider our Person-to-Person payment service. With our Person-to-Person payment service, you can request funds and have it transferred to your TD Bank account. You can certainly request funds from other people by using this service.
To initiate a Person-to-Person payment, you’ll need to be logged in to Online Banking from the main website.
- First, you must enroll in the service. To do so, you would select the tab that says Person-to-Person payments at the top of your Online Banking screen.
- Then, you will be asked to accept a user agreement, review the fee schedule and confirm your email and phone number. A text and email code will be sent to the mobile number and email address we have on file for you.
- Next we will request you to submit both codes for verification to complete the enrollment process. Once the enrollment is complete you’ll be ready to send the payment and in the next three business days the funds will be received.
Once you are enrolled for Person-to-Person payment service, you will then need to follow the steps below to add a contact:
-Get to the Add New Contact screen from the Overview tab. Click [Contacts] in the upper right corner of the screen.
-Click Add a Contact within the To field. A New Contact window will open.
-Enter First Name and Last Name in the fields provided.
-Select to enter an Email, Mobile Phone, or Direct Deposit using the radio buttons.
-Enter the information in the fields provided.
Once you have added your contact, you may follow the following steps to Schedule a Payment Request:

-Start typing a contact name to select the contact from the list or add the contact.
-Enter the Amount, either a Fixed amount or an Open amount.
-Select the Account to Deposit To.
-Check [Add a due date] to add a due date for the funds.
-Enter email details in the Email Message field.

Please note, that there may be fees for the use of the above services. We invite you to take a look at our Fee Schedule here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
Additionally, you may wish to connect with the other Financial Institution as they may have other options available.
Let us know if you have any other questions. We hope you have a nice day!
