Thanks for joining us here at TD Helps, Heather.
There are two different types of transfers you can make; a wire transfer or a Person-to-Person transfer through TD Bank Online Banking.
A wire transfer can be done at any local TD bank Store. Please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores for hours and locations near you. To initiate a wire to another domestic financial institution, you will need the name, address and ABA routing number of the receiving bank, the name of the account to be credited, the beneficiary address, and the account number. Also check with the other financial institution to make sure there is no additional information required. With wire transfers you can even send money to someone outside the U.S. All you need to send an international wire is:
- The full name, address, including city, state/province, and country and account number of the person/business (for Euro Zone countries – IBAN – International Banking Account Number you are sending money to.
- The full name and address, including city, state/province and country of the financial institution receiving the funds.
- The amount and currency of the transfer.
Transfers happen quickly and securely, depending on the currency you are sending. Some transactions may take longer than others. Check out http://bit.ly/1cTejgt for information on any fees associated with wire transfers.
To use the Person-to-Person transfer feature, you must be enrolled in Online Banking. If you have not enrolled yourself, you can do so for free here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your Social Security number, your TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card, your account number, and your e-mail address. If you do not have a debit or ATM card, please call our 24/7 Online Specialist at 1-800-493-7562 to enroll. Once you’ve enrolled for Online Banking, select the “Person-to-Person” tab to enroll for this specific feature. For the Terms and Conditions in addition to information on the payment methods and amounts, please check http://bit.ly/1pADlWD.
Thanks again for writing in, Heather. Let us know if you have any other questions and have a wonderful day.

We appreciate you re-connecting with us Heather.
Person-to-Person transfers are available to customers who have a US address, a US phone number, and an email address. This feature can be used to send money within the United States. If you have the required information and are having trouble sending funds to someone in the US, we apologize for the inconvenience and ask that you contact us at 800-493-7562. We have Digital Banking Specialists available 24/7 for your banking needs.
Also, because you stated that you have Cross Border Banking and if you do not have the required information needed to use the Person-to-Person feature, we recommend initiating a wire transfer as an alternative (please see above message for details on what is needed to initiate a wire transfer).
Also, feel free to visit http://bit.ly/1ienPN4 for more information on our Cross Border Banking features and frequently asked questions. You may also contact our Cross Border Banking line at (877) 700-2913 and choose option 1 for Canadian Support or option 2 for US Support. A Representative can assist you with processing wire transfers between your TD Bank US and TD Canada accounts.
We hope this information helps and enjoy the rest of your day!
