Good morning, Karen, and welcome to TD Helps.
We apologize if you're having trouble enrolling in paperless statements, and we'll be more than happy to walk you through the steps on how you may successfully do so!
Before we begin, we'd first like to mention that the Customer Service Representative you spoke with at your nearest TD Store location was correct. At this time, in order to enroll in paperless statements, it will be required for this selection to be made through your Personal Online Banking. Unfortunately, we are unable to manually enroll you in paperless statements at this time.
To get started, you'll first want to log into your Personal Online Banking, which you can do by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. If you haven't yet enrolled, that's okay, as you can start here: https://go.td.com/1lU2qfY! To fully enroll, you'll need your account number, debit card number, a valid email address, and your Social Security Number.
Once you've successfully logged in, you'll want to hover over the 'Account Options' tab, which you can find towards the top, left hand side of your screen, then click 'Statements & Notices.' From this screen, towards the bottom, you should be able to see your eligible accounts, and to update your statements for these accounts, you'll want to press the 'Update Settings' link. Once you have done so, you'll have the ability to check the box next to the 'Online Statements' option, and once you're done, click 'Continue.' From this screen, you can also select which accounts you'd like to receive specific notifications, such as Stop Payment and Overdraft Notices.
