Good question, Bob and thank you for connecting with us on TD Helps.
If you're referring to using TD Bank Online Banking Bill Pay to schedule the payments, please know that Bill Payments made through TD Bank Online Banking Bill Pay can be issued electronically or as a draft check, and actual processing is determined by the Biller. To ensure your payments are received on time, we recommend scheduling your payments to allow enough time for processing before the due date.
The date you select is the delivery date of your payment. It is when your biller can expect to receive the payment through an electronic funds transfer. In some cases we are not able to complete an electronic funds transfer so we print a check and mail it to your biller, in this case the date you selected is the date the check should be delivered. Any date that is in grey and cannot be selected, is a date that we cannot deliver on. By default all weekends and Federal Holidays will not be available for selection of delivery.
Bills paid electronically can be paid as soon as the next business day and will give you the option to choose the next business day on the calendar, while payments sent in check form will usually need several days for processing and mailing.
We also invite you to take a look here: http://bit.ly/1o0rwbX for all the information you may like to know about our Online Bill Pay service.
Please know that we'd be happy to answer any additional questions you might have. Welcome back, Bob. We apologize for any confusion.
First, it sounds like this could be a browser issue. We'd like to let you know that our website is compatible with most popular browsers. If you're experiencing an issue viewing our site or portions of it on Google Chrome, we can make the following recommendations for you.
You may like to clear the cache and cookies, disable any plug-ins and restore your browser's default settings. Look for a Reset Browser Settings option and follow any prompts to complete this process. If for any reason this doesn't correct the issue, you may also try to remove and reinstall the Chrome browser, using the most recent version when you reinstall it. If the issue persists after updating the version, at that point we would recommend that you try using a different browser altogether.
Additionally, when scheduling a bill payment via TD Bank website, payments you make are delivered in one of two ways:
By electronic transmission: These Billers receive your payments through secure electronic transmission.
By laser draft (paper check): These Billers receive a check that is drawn on your account. A check is created by Bill Pay and then mailed to the Biller’s mailing address. Just like checks you write yourself, money will be withdrawn from your account when the check is cashed by the Biller.
When you open the payment calendar, you will see available Pay Dates in blue. In most cases, if your first available Pay Date is the next business day, the payment will be sent electronically. In most cases, if the earliest available payment date is not the next business day, a Laser Draft will be issued to the Biller.
Please note; the pay date is the day your payment should be received, so you can choose a pay date that is the same as the due date on your bill. You can also select an earlier date if you wish. We also like to invite you to take a look at our Bill Pay FAQs by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1gWIrp7.
Should you continue to experience any difficulties or have any other questions; we invite you to connect with our Tech Support Specialists 24/7 at 800-493-7562, option 3.
We hope this helps, Bob. Have a great one and let us know if you need anything else.
