Thanks for dropping by TD Helps with your question, Kevin! We'll be happy to answer any questions you may have about ATM deposits.
Most of our ATMs have envelope free deposits available. Making an ATM deposit is fast and easy. When depositing a check into the ATM it is important to endorse the back of the check. Once you’re ready to make your deposit, input your debit or ATM only card into the ATM and follow the below instructions (which will also be shown on the touchscreen):
- Enter your PIN
- Choose “Deposit”
- Select “Yes, To Continue”
- Choose the desired account type
- For deposit type, choose “check”
- Hit “Continue when ready”
- Put in your deposit
- Make sure the deposit on the screen is correct
- Then, select “Finish Deposit”
- You will then have the option to choose “yes or no” for your receipt; if you select “yes” you will be able to view the check image on your receipt.
If the ATM requires an envelope for your deposit, provide the information requested on the envelope and submit it into the ATM.
Regardless if the ATM uses envelopes or not, the availability of funds for ATM deposits is the same. Please note that TD Bank makes the first $100.00 available of your daily ATM check deposits immediately for accounts that are opened 90 days or greater. Cash deposits made at a TD ATM are made available to you immediately. Deposits made through the ATM before 8:00 PM will be available on the next banking day. However, deposits made through the ATM after 8:00 PM will be considered the next days' business and will post to your account on the following business day. If you make an ATM deposit after 8:00 PM on a Friday, that deposit is considered to be on Monday's banking day and will post to your account on Tuesday. Anytime a holiday falls on a Monday, the deposit will post to your account on Wednesday morning.
We hope this is useful to you, Kevin and let us know if you have any questions!
