Welcome to the TD Helps Community, Robertha. We are happy to guide you in the right direction today.
You are more than welcome to open a joint account with another individual at your choice. As you wish to open a joint account, both parties must be present at the time of the account opening and can visit any TD Bank Store. Please make sure both parties, including you, bring the following documents: a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number. To find out the nearest TD Store near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
You are also welcome to open an individual account online or via telephone first. Once your individual account has successfully opened, you can then visit any local TD Bank Store with the other individual to add him/her onto your account.

Once you've decided on the account type that best suits your needs, you can open the account via online or telephone. To open the account via online, click on the "Open Account" button below the account you choose and fill in the required fields. You can open an account via telephone 24/7 by calling our Customer Service line at 888-751-9000 and one of our Banking Specialists can open the account for you.
We also understand changing banks can be challenging. We’ve developed this Easy Switch Checklist to help you navigate the process. Check out http://bit.ly/1nEm90e to see this easy-to-follow guide.
We hope this information is helpful, Robertha. Have a nice day!
