Welcome to TD Helps, Ivan. We understand your concern and are here to help!
Though you are unable to change your account number at this time, you are able to close your current account and establish a new one.
To view and compare our Checking accounts, visit http://bit.ly/1aDaRqd or check out our Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help with selecting a Checking account that best suits your needs.
Once you're ready to open your new account, you are able to do so online by selecting "Open Account," calling us 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000 or by visiting a TD Store during lobby hours. To take a look at TD Stores near you please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Please know that you will need a valid photo I.D. to open your account such as a Driver's License, State issued photo I.D., passport, etc.
If you choose to visit a TD Store or give us a call, our Representatives will be glad to help you finalize your previous account and establish your new one in a few easy steps! If you decide to open your account online, feel free to give us a call by using the number listed above, visit a TD Store or send us a secure message to close your old account.
To send a secure message you must first login to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center."
We also recommend taking a look at our Security Center found here: http://bit.ly/1npPddy. By following the link, you'll be taken to a variety of tips and tools to help keep your account secure.
We hope this helps, Ivan and have a good day!
