In reply to Pete, Brooklyn
We appreciate you joining us on TD Helps today, Pete. We would be happy to provide guidance!
You may make a deposit or transfer in any way that you choose. With that being said, we would like to take this time to inform you of our funds availability policy.
When making any check deposits with a Teller, the first $100 is made available immediately, however; if you are a new account holder, whose account has not been opened for 30 consecutive days, check deposits can be held up to 7-10 business days for verification purposes. After this grace period, not only will the first $100 be made available at the time of deposit but the rest of the funds will be credited to your account the following business day. For help locating a TD Store near you, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
In most of the cases, when your deposit is made before 8pm on a business day it will be made available the following business day. If your deposit is made after 8pm on a business day or on any weekend or Federal holiday, the next business day will be considered the deposit date. For example if you make a deposit on a Saturday, the deposit date will be Monday, since that is the next business day; your funds would then generally be available on that Tuesday. For more information, take a look here: http://bit.ly/1ff8byL (the deposit availability details are listed in sections 6 and 7).
Please note that $100 same day availability for deposits do not apply to Mobile Deposits. For more information on funds availability and deposits that may be applied for longer delays, please take a look here for our Personal Deposit Account Agreement: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ (Pg. 38 -41).
If your account is less than 90 days old, check deposits made through the ATM or at a TD Store may be held for 7-10 business days. In general, TD Bank makes the first $100.00 available of your daily ATM check deposits immediately for accounts that are opened 90 days or greater. Check deposits made through the ATM before 8:00 PM will be available on the next banking day; however, if your deposit is made after 8:00 PM, it will be considered the next days' business and will post to your account on the following business day. For example: if you make an ATM deposit after 8:00 PM on a Friday, that deposit is considered to be on Monday's banking day and will post to your account on Tuesday. Anytime a holiday falls on a business day, for this instance Monday, the deposit will post to your account on Wednesday morning.
Longer delays may apply under certain circumstances, for more information, we recommend reviewing our Personal Deposit Account Agreement.
We invite you back to TD Helps with any further questions, Pete. Have a great evening!
