Hope you're doing well, Karen. We'll be sure to inform you on when the funds will become available when depositing a U.S. Treasury check.
In general, when making check deposits with a Teller, the first $100.00 is made available immediately. The rest of the funds are usually credited to your account on the following business day. This includes U.S. Treasury checks as well.
Please keep in mind, if you make a deposit at TD Bank before 8:00 PM on a business day, it would be considered a deposit on that business day. A business day is every day except Saturdays, Sundays, and federal holidays. For weekend deposits, this usually means that the deposit will be considered Monday's deposit and will post to your account Tuesday.
We invite you to look at our Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ, which can explain our deposit availability policy in full detail for you on pages 38-41 along with information about when you'll have access to deposits. Please note that delays may apply in some situations including larger deposits, new accounts, or excessive overdrafts. We recommend making this sort of deposit with a Teller at a TD Store. Check http://bit.ly/TDStores for hours and locations near you.
Hope this helps, Karen! Let us know if you have further questions and have a great night!
