How long does it take for funds sent electronically from another bank to be deposited into my TD account?

Depending on how the transfer or credit was sent, the delivery time frames can vary.
Many direct deposits and transfers are completed as ACH transfers that use your account and routing number. While some banks do offer expedited processing, often ACH transfers take approximately 3-5 business days to be received from the time sent.
With direct deposits, we release them on the day that your depositor specifies. Generally we receive them the day prior to their release date. Once we release those deposits, they are fully available to you, even while in your pending transactions.
If the transfer was sent using Zelle from another financial institution in the U.S., those transfers can be instantaneous but it may need to be retrieved. If this is the service they've used, you should be alerted of the payment by text or email, depending on which the sender used. That text or email will provide you with instructions for collecting on those funds. If you haven't yet enrolled in Send Money, it can easily be done through online or mobile banking. To begin, log in by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. Select the 'Send Money' tab and ensure the email address shown is correct. You'll then need to accept the Terms and Conditions. If you sign up for this service with your mobile number, select text or call to receive a verification code. If you sign up using your email we'll send you a verification code by email. Be sure you have mobile notifications enabled for TD Bank. If you sign up with your email and don't receive the verification code, please check your e-mail spam folder. You'll then need to enter the code to verify your email address or mobile number. We'll show your accounts that are eligible for Instant Transfer. Just choose the one you wish to use.
If you choose to set up this service from the mobile app, select 'Send Money' from the quick links or transfer screen and continue with the same instructions above.
If you're fully enrolled and the payment hasn’t displayed, make sure your contact has used the same mobile or e-mail address you’ve set up in Send Money.

Finally, if the transfer was sent as a wire transfer, delivery times can vary depending on whether or not its an international or domestic transfer, and the currency used. If it’s a domestic wire transfer, you could receive funds as early as the same day. If the wire is coming internationally and in foreign currency, it may take approximately 3-5 business days for delivery.
