i returned a few things from stores 5 days ago and i do not see that it went back into my debit/credit card.

Hi Katie, thanks for reaching out to us on TD Helps.
When you make a purchase with your debit card the funds are immediately deducted from your available balance and the transaction will be placed in the pending section of your account. When you return items to the store, the refund can typically take 3-5 business days.
If you have yet to see the refund back to your account we do recommend contacting Customer Service 24/7 at 888-751-9000. After account verification, a Representative will be able to review the account with you and provide options on how to proceed. Additionally, you may wish to connect with the merchant regarding your credit.
