I've transferred money from an external account into my checking account, and my other bank assures me that it went through yesterday, however it still hasn't appeared in my account.

Typically, a bank-to-bank transfer is made using the routing and account numbers (an ACH transaction), can take 2-5 business days to arrive. If the transfer was made via a different method we recommend contacting the financial institution that sent the transfer in order to determine the time frame.
