Thanks for joining us Kristi,
From your message, we understand that you're a new account holder with us and we'd like to thank you for choosing TD!
We appreciate you asking this question as there may be additional time for your check deposits to become available when you're a new account holder. During the first 30 days of your account, when you deposit checks with a Teller we'll provide you with the same immediate $100 availability that we provide to all of our Customers. During this 30-day period, however, please keep in mind that the remaining funds can be held for up to 7 business days. Once you have passed the 30-day time frame, we typically provide the remainder of your deposited funds on the business day after your deposit.
Kindly note that check deposits made at one of our ATMs may have the same hold placed as mentioned above if you are a new account holder; and please keep in mind that via the ATM, the first $100 of your check deposits may not be available for the first 90 days of your account. On the other hand, cash deposits made either with a Teller or the ATM will be made available at the time of the deposit.
Please also take note of information regarding our business days and cutoff times. Deposits made before 8:00 pm on a business day are considered deposits made on that business day. A business day is every day except Saturdays, Sundays, and federal holidays. However, if you make a deposit with a Teller or ATM deposit after 8:00 pm, or on a non-business day, we will consider that the deposit was made on the following business day. For example, if you made an ATM deposit on Saturday, that deposit will be considered Monday's deposit and will post to your account Tuesday.
To read more about this in further detail, we invite you to look at our Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ. On pages 38-41, you can find our Funds Availability Policy along with information about when you'll have access to deposits.
If you have any questions or concerns about your deposit, please contact us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or visit a TD Store during lobby hours for help. For Store hours and locations near you please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this clears up your questions, Kristi. You are always welcome to give us a call anytime with any deposit questions you have – we're here around the clock for you at 888-751-9000, 24/7. Or please click the 'Reply' button in the top right corner of this message to get back to us and chat again!
Thanks again and have a great Sunday afternoon!
