I opened my second TD bank account in early February 2015. I deposited a check via front desk teller on a Saturday afternoon into this account and I figured $100 would be available immediately, and the rest would be available, Monday. The deposit date on my account says, 3/30/2015. When I called the customer service rep said it would take 7 business days to clear, but I've deposited checks into this account with a teller before and had it clear immediately.

When making a check deposit with a Teller or at an ATM, the first $100.00 is made available immediately. If your new account has not been open for 30 consecutive days, Check deposits can be held for 7-10 business days for verification purposes. After this grace period, not only will the first $100 be made available at the time of deposit but the rest of the funds will credit to your account the following business day.
Check deposits made via a TD Bank ATM before 8:00 PM on a business day are considered deposits made on that business day and will be available on the next banking day; however, if your deposit is made after 8:00 PM, it will be considered the next days' business and will post to your account on the following business day. TD Bank makes the first $100.00 available of your daily ATM check deposits immediately for accounts that are opened 90 days or greater. However, if your account is less than 90 days old, check deposits made through the ATM or at a TD Store may be held for 7-10 business days.
For example, in this case, your deposit is made on Saturday, which is not considered a business day, therefore, it will be considered a deposit on Monday's business day and will be available to you on Tuesday.
