We appreciate you stopping by TD Helps this morning, Steven. We would be glad to help provide details regarding foreign check deposits.
We are happy to inform you that TD Customers can certainly deposit foreign checks into their TD Bank account. We invite you to review some helpful information we have listed below prior making this deposit:
-The international check must have an equivalent value of at least US $100.00.
-Rates used for currency conversion are provided by TD Bank traders. We do not use rates printed by third parties in newspapers or published online.
-For the Customer's protection, the item should be hand delivered to a Store and not mailed. Please do not deposit foreign checks from the ATM.
Please keep in mind that the Foreign Check Collection Department will charge a fee of $17.50 per check for non-Canadian foreign checks. The conversion rate applied will be on the day the check is received in the Foreign Check Collection department. Please note; fees are subject to change. For more information on the fee schedule, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
Please also visit here: http://bit.ly/1ltwDDc for International Travel Tips FAQs.
Noticing your location, we'd like to mention that you’ve connected with TD Bank here in the States. IF you are inquiring about your TD Canada Trust account, we invite you to visit: http://bit.ly/1rcKHF4 for details provided by our friends from up North.
We hope this helps and please let us know if you need anything else. Have a great day!
