Thanks for stopping by TD Helps, Niki. We'd be happy to help answer your question.
You'll be happy to know that we accept endorsed checks. An Endorsement Authorization & Release Form must be completed at the time of the deposit. You and your stepdad can visit any TD Store during lobby hours to receive the form and complete the transaction. For Store hours and locations near you please visit: https://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
The back of the check(s) must be endorsed by the person who the check is made out to and the person that is depositing the check before it is presented. Please note; government or insurance checks can only be presented for payment from the person listed on the "Payable to" line of the check.
We also invite you to take a look here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ for more information on our Funds Availability (pages 40-44).
