Hey Bogdan, thanks for coming by TD Helps. We'd be happy to help!
When making an ATM withdrawal from an international location, please make sure that the ATM machine displays either the VISA or NYCE logo. The TD Bank Debit Card may also be used to obtain a VISA Cash Advance if a compatible ATM is not available. Please note non-TD ATM fees still may apply. Our most up to date Fee Schedule can be found here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt, for more information. Many ATMs outside the United States limit withdrawals to Checking accounts only, however, through TD Bank Online you may transfer money from your Savings account to your Checking account should more funds be needed.
If you have not enrolled yet, you can do so for free by following this link: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your account number, Social Security number, your email address and your current TD ATM/Debit card. If you run into any problems enrolling or if you do not have a TD ATM/Debit card to enroll online, please call us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 to speak with our Banking Specialists.
We also recommend placing a Travel Notification on your checking account before you leave for Europe. You can do so by calling our Customer Service Line at 888-751-9000 or visiting a local TD Bank Store. To find a TD Bank near you, we suggest you check out http://bit.ly/TDStores. If you are enrolled for Online Banking, another option would be to send a secured message using www.tdbank.com and request the Travel Notifications be added to your account. To send a secured message you must first logon to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see and option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center.” This will help us be aware if we see foreign transactions on your account. We also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues. For more travel tips while overseas, please visit http://bit.ly/1gDrDYu.
If you have any questions while you are traveling internationally, you can reach us at (856)-751-9000. Additionally, you can call collect from a landline at (215)-569-0518.
We hope this helps and please let us know if you have any other banking questions.
