Welcome to TD Bank, Traci!
We're so glad to hear that you've opened a new account with us!
If you our online account opening process and selected the option to fund it with another account you have at another financial institution, please know that it may take approximately 3 business days to be credited to your account.
If you'd like to make another deposit while you await those funds, you're more than welcome to do so! Please feel free to visit us in person at any local TD Bank Store. To find one near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
You can also make a deposit online using the mobile deposit feature or external transfer option. For both of these features, you'll need to be enrolled in online banking. If you haven't yet enrolled, give us a call or stop in to see us. We'd be happy to help get you all set up. Our Tech Support Team can be reached 24/7 at 800-493-7562.
If you're already enrolled, we'd be glad to provide you with some instructions!
For mobile deposit, you'll want to download our app to your smartphone or tablet. You can click here: https://go.td.com/1hOPk1H to find our app for Apple or Google. Once logged in, select the camera icon. You'll need to enroll in mobile deposits and accept the terms and conditions. Once completed, you'll be able to make mobile deposits if you have a check to deposit. You'll need to photograph the front and back of the check and confirm the dollar amount, then click 'Submit'. Most mobile deposits are available the following business day, but please know that with new accounts, check deposits can be held for up to 7 business days for verification. This is only for the first 30 days and is laid out in the Personal Deposit Account Agreement that you may have reviewed when opening the account. You can find info on funds availability on pages 40-44 here: https://go.td.com/2nf0JAI.
As we'd previously mentioned you may be able to request money from your other bank account using our External Transfers feature. This will work similar to the transfer you completed at account opening and will take approximately 3 business days. To start, log into your online banking by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. Once logged in, select the 'Transfers' tab and then click the hyperlink along the top for 'Transfer to Accounts Outside TD Bank'. You will also need to enroll in this service. This requires verifying contact info and accepting terms and conditions. Once enrolled, you can go back to that same place and add your account from another financial institution to request money from your account there. You can even set up a recurring transfer to or from your other account. While there is no cost to request money from another account, there may be a fee to send money to your accounts elsewhere. We encourage you to review our Personal Fee Schedule here: https://go.td.com/2kFZ5mK for up-to-date info about any costs associated with external transfers.
We hope this info helps, Traci! If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or stop in to see us at any of our Stores.
Thanks for choosing TD Bank! We hope you have a great weekend!
