We appreciate you stopping by TD Helps today!
It’s great to hear that you want to open a Savings Account with us. We’ll be glad to help you with the details you will need to start the process of how to open a savings account.
Although there is no set amount to open a savings account with us, some of our accounts do require a daily minimum balance to avoid a montly maintenance fee. We offer many types of Savings Accounts that can fit your needs. We recommend taking a look at http://bit.ly/1hzzhPT for more detailed information on each particular savings account available at TD Bank; including minimum daily balances to avoid maintenance fees. You may find it helpful to check out our customized Savings Selector tool, found here: http://bit.ly/1sxY9Rd.
We currently offer many ways in which you can open a Savings Account with TD Bank. You’re able to call our 24/7 Customer Service Line at 1 (888) 751-9000, visit our website at www.tdbank.com or stop by at any local TD Bank Store. To find the nearest TD Bank Store please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Just a heads up, to open the Savings Account you will need to supply a valid Identification (State License, State ID or Passport) and your Social Security Number. If you choose to open your account over the phone, we will send you the signature card for you to sign in order to complete the process. As mentioned above, there isn't a required amount needed to open an account; however the account must funded within 30 days.
Hope this helps and please let us know if you have any further questions.
