Welcome to TD Helps, Laurie. We are excited that you have come here with your question!
At TD Bank, we do offer money orders which can be obtained by visiting us at any TD Store as long as you're a TD Customer. A TD Customer is defined as someone who has a TD Bank account (e.g. checking, savings, CD, club account) or a TD Bank loan product (e.g. mortgage, home equity, personal, etc.) or a TD Go Account or Card. For Store hours please check out http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Please keep in mind, Money orders can be purchased for any amount up to $1000.00. If the amount you are looking to purchase exceeds the limit, you may wish to purchase an Official Check. An Official Check can be purchased for any amount and because it is subject to availability due to the amount requested, we recommend contacting your local TD Bank prior to visiting.
For more information on the fee for official checks take a look here http://bit.ly/1cTejgt (located under "Checks"). However, depending on the type of account you have, you may receive free Money Orders and Official Checks, take a look here:
• TD Sixty Plus Checking • TD Premier and Private Premier Checking • TD Relationship and Private Relationship Checking • Private Tiered Checking • 50 Plus and Private 50 Plus Checking • TD and Private High-Yield Savings • Elite Savings • TD Relationship Savings • Select and Private Select Money Market • Plus and Private Plus Money Market
To determine what type of account your currently have, it is shown on your statements. You can also see it on your online banking. If you’re currently enrolled for online banking, when you log in click on the “Accounts” tab and it’ll be listed under the “Deposit Accounts” section. If you do not currently use online banking, you may enroll by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your account number, debit card number and Social Security number. If you need help enrolling for Online Banking, please contact our Digital Banking Specialists at 800-493-7562, available 24/7.
You may also give our Banking Specialists a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 if you have any other questions. And as always, you may visit us at any time during lobby hours for further assistance.
We hope this helps. Have a great one!
