If you would like to request a stop payment on a check that has not been presented against your account yet, there are a few ways to do so.
You have the option of calling our automated system at 800-937-2000 to access your account and also request a stop payment. You may also give us a call 24/7 to speak with a Banking Specialist at 888-751-9000. Our Representatives would be happy to assist you in placing stop payments. Keep in mind you will need the check number, exact amount of the check as well as who it was made payable to. You may also go to a TD Store location for assistance. Another option you have to place a stop payment is via Online Banking. If you're not currently enrolled for Online Banking, you may do so by clicking: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your account number, ATM/debit card number and Social Security number to enroll online. Once you're logged in, please click on the "Customer Service" tab and then "Stop Payment." If you need help enrolling, please contact us at the number provided above.
