Thank you for bringing your question to TD Helps today, Dustin. We appreciate your interest in opening a new Personal Checking account with TD Bank.
Here at TD Bank, we offer many different types of Checking accounts. Please note; currently, there is no set amount that you need to open an account with us. However, some accounts do require a daily minimum balance to avoid a monthly maintenance fee.
To view and compare our checking accounts, visit http://bit.ly/1oXjGgF or check out our Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help selecting a checking account that is the best fit you. You may also visit here: http://bit.ly/1hodoUj for all the information about TD Personal Simple Checking account.
Once you have decided the type of the account you wish to open, you may click here: http://bit.ly/1fN7u4i to take you directly to the account opening application. You may also feel free to call us directly 24/7 at (888) 751-9000 with any questions you may have and set up your new account via telephone.
Additionally, you are welcome to stop by your nearest TD Bank store to speak with a Banking Specialist in regards to setting up the new account or determining what product type fits you the best. To find out TD store locations near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores. You will need to bring a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number.
If you are a Non-US resident and do not have SSN at this present time, you will need to bring two forms of identification with you and stop by your local TD Bank store during our lobby hours to set up your new account. One form of ID must be a Non-US passport and the second form of ID you may select from the list below:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature
- State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature
- Foreign Driver's License with Photo
- US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date
- College ID with Photo
- Alien Registration Card with Photo
- Permanent Resident Card with Photo
Let us know if you have any other questions. Have a great one.
